Ostend City North Sea Aquarium

Located at the site of the former shrimp market at the picturesque Visserskaai, the North Sea Aquarium features the unique North Sea fauna consisting of over 60 species of living sea fish, crustaceans, molluscs and sea anemones.

These have been housed in 13 aquaria. Apart from the aquaria, there is also an exhibition of stuffed rare fish and an extensive collection of North Sea shells, crustaceans and echinoderms. Here, you can truly admire the North Sea fauna and flora at a very low price! Especially for children, this is a very educational and fascinating way to get familiarized with the sea. The North Sea Aquarium is located right in the centre of Ostend directly opposite the Vissersplein at the ferry service embarkation jetty.
